Home and Custom Reports

Home and Custom Reports

If you’ve been using Mantle for a while, you know it’s changed a lot. Billing, analytics, email, affiliates, Flows, Help Desk, Sales – there’s a lot going on in here now. But until today, the first thing you saw when you opened Mantle was… charts.

That was fine when Mantle was mostly an analytics platform. But if you’re running support through Help Desk, managing deals in Sales, tracking affiliates, sending emails – the home screen didn’t reflect any of that. The most valuable parts of your day-to-day work in Mantle were buried behind clicks, while the front door said “here are your numbers” and nothing else.

It’s a weird feeling when the product you open every morning doesn’t show you half of what it can do. Worse, it means the stuff that actually needs your attention – a trial expiring tomorrow, a ticket that’s been sitting for three days, a task someone assigned you – wasn’t surfaced until you went looking for it. And let’s be honest, sometimes you get sent down a rabbit hole before you actually go looking.

What should 9am in Mantle feel like?

We started with a question: what do you need to see to feel fully up to speed on the day’s work ahead? Not in thirty minutes of clicking around – in five minutes, something you can finish in the same time it takes to drink your first coffee.

The answer isn’t just metrics. Metrics tell you how things are going, but they don’t tell you what to do about it. MRR being up is good, but knowing you can drive it higher by engaging a pending high-value trial expiration is better. Seeing a customer make their first entrance in to your Top Customers list is good, but knowing that they just left a 5 star review is better. That someone mentioned you in a comment. That your churn risk just ticked up. Numbers are part of the picture, but they’re not the whole picture.

So we rebuilt Home as a briefing, not a dashboard. Something that tells you what’s happening across your entire business – support, sales, growth, retention, affiliates, all of it – and puts the things that need your attention right in front of you. We’ve included our AI Ask box right at the top, so you can drill deeper on anything you need to right away.

But here’s the thing: not everyone on your team needs the same briefing. Your support lead cares about open tickets and response times. Your growth person cares about installs and trial conversions. Your CEO wants the revenue view. Home dynamically changes content based on your role in Mantle, and includes a customizable sidebar where you can add anything you want.

But we still wanted to go further.

That’s where Custom Reports come in. If Home is the morning briefing – opinionated, broad, action-oriented – Custom Reports are the views you build for yourself. Custom collections of the reports and metrics that matter to you, laid out exactly how you want. One for your weekly team sync. One for your monthly revenue review. One that’s just for you. Custom Reports are the strategic view – the thing you pull up when you need to study the numbers, not just glance at them.

Home tells you what’s happening and what needs to happen. Custom Reports help you understand why.

The first thing you’ll see is an AI ask box. Got a question about your business, or about how something works in Mantle? Just ask. We’ve included some quick-action prompts to get you started, but it’s open-ended – treat it like a conversation with someone who actually knows your data.

Below that, your core business metrics are still front and center – condensed into a tighter block than before. The quick stats at the top are dynamic now: they only show stats for features you actually use, so you’re not staring at zeroes for things you haven’t turned on.

Updates and insights

Depending on where you are in your Mantle journey, you’ll see updates tailored to you – setup steps you haven’t finished, features you haven’t turned on yet that could drive value right away, and AI-generated insights pulled from your data. These aren’t random fun facts. Insights are ranked by severity so the critical stuff floats to the top. Things like a spike in churn risk, or a summary of this week’s installs – little tidbits that surface something interesting without you having to go looking for it.

Your daily briefing

Scroll down and you’ll find blocks built around the things we think matter most day-to-day:

  • Trials expiring soon, so nothing slips through the cracks
  • Churn risk, customers that might need attention before it’s too late
  • Top customers, your highest-value accounts right now
  • Recent installs and uninstalls, across all your apps
  • Recent reviews, what customers are saying about you
  • Open tickets, what’s sitting in Help Desk
  • Traffic summary, page views, unique visitors, sessions
  • Tasks assigned to you, on specific customers, so you know what’s on your plate
  • Comments where you’ve been mentioned, no more missing the thread
  • Affiliate performance, how many affiliates, how much revenue they’ve referred
  • GitHub and Linear issues, connected to Help Desk tickets, so engineering context lives next to customer context

This is the part that makes Home feel different from a dashboard. It’s not just metrics — it’s the actual work that needs your attention.

Make it yours

The right-hand sidebar is fully customizable. Add, remove, and reorder widgets – quick links, recent AI chat threads, payout summaries, and more. Drag and drop to rearrange, and your layout is saved per user. Your Home should feel like your Home.

Custom Reports

Custom Reports are fully customizable collections of reports and report blocks, laid out exactly how you want. Pull in a full report, or just the specific blocks you care about from different reports. Add headings and descriptions to organize sections. Arrange everything the way your brain works, not the way we decided it should work.

We’re shipping with one prebuilt report — Overview — which recreates the classic Mantle metrics view for anyone who wants it. Beyond that, build whatever you need, or let AI build it for you.

Create as many as you need. One per team. One per person. Cross-functional views that pull from everything. Set them to private or share them with the whole team.

Let AI build it for you

You don’t have to start from scratch. Describe the report you’re trying to build — or describe a change you want to make to an existing one — and our AI-powered generator will grab the relevant blocks and lay them out for you. If you don’t love what it comes up with, customize from there. Think of it as a first draft that actually understands your data.

Home and Custom Reports are live now. We’re excited with where they are, but we’re even more excited about where they can go from here. Home builds a foundation that we can expand on as Mantle continues to grow, and Dashboards give a level of flexibility that becomes increasingly necessary as people keep more data – and do more work – in Mantle.
