Before you start

Mantle is based in Canada, and our email platform adheres to Canada’s Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL), which governs commercial electronic messages. To help you get the most out of Mantle Email while staying compliant, here are some important guidelines to keep in mind:

  • Make sure you’re familiar with and adhering to our Terms of Service, which include our anti-spam policies and require compliance with all applicable laws in your operating region.

  • Identify and comply with any additional anti-spam or data protection laws that apply to your contacts or customers based on their geographical location.

  • Ensure compliance with any anti-spam or data protection laws specific to the country where your business operates.

Importing customer emails

Before you dive into using Mantle Email, make sure you’ve got your customers’ email addresses loaded into your Mantle account. Here’s how you can do it:

  1. Use Mantle’s API without the shop access token

Check out Mantle’s Identify endpoint to easily send your customers’ emails to Mantle. Simply add the shop email as a paramater when you identify your customer and they’ll automatically link up with the right customer records in your account.

  2. Use Mantle’s API with the shop access token

Try Mantle’s Identify endpoint with your shop’s access token. This will automatically enrich your customer data, including their email addresses.

  3. Manual Import

You can also manually add customer emails by going to Customers -> Import in your Mantle account. Just upload a CSV file with your customers’ info.

Contact capture

Automate per user email collection with Contact Capture. Enable Mantle to automatically capture contact information from merchant team members who open your app. This creates higher quality customer records and builds a more effective email list for driving adoption.
