When Shopify released the Billing API back in the earliest days of the App Store, it was a gift – collecting monthly subscription fees for software had never been easier.

It did come with a cost though – plan configuration was entirely on you, and there was limited support for billing models outside of flat monthly fees with no bells or whistles.

In the years since, things have become easier and more flexible – but Mantle is here to make things even better, with a powerful Billing platform built on top of Shopify’s Billing APIs.

Discounts

Discounts for any purpose – marketing activities, one-off deals for customers – are a pain. Some that take a cursory look at Shopify’s Billing API can’t even see how discounts are possible. Mantle makes discounts as easy to configure as plans, with all the options you’d expect: percentage vs. flat discounts, custom durations, and tag-based availability to some or all customers.
